The KJB Collective is a team of writers, editors, artists, and MFA students who support and manage the Kaylie Jones Books imprint. What you won’t see here are the members of the KJB Collective who volunteer to read the submissions KJB receives throughout the year.

FOUNDER, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF
KAYLIE JONES
KAYLIE JONES has published seven books, including a memoir, Lies My Mother Never Told Me, and her most recent novel, The Anger Meridian. Her novel A Soldier’s Daughter Never Cries was adapted as a Merchant Ivory film in 1998. Jones has been teaching for more than twenty-five years, and is a faculty member in the Stony Brook Southampton MFA in Creative Writing & Literature program and in Wilkes University’s MFA in Creative Writing program. She is the author of Speak Now and the editor of Long Island Noir. Her newest endeavor is her publishing imprint with Akashic Books, Kaylie Jones Books.

MANAGING EDITOR
PATTY BOWEN
Patty Bowen is currently the Managing Editor of Kaylie Jones books. Additionally, she is a writer of fiction and pursuing her MFA through the Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing. She is a 27-year veteran educator teaching English, Film, and Communications in Pennsylvania. Her mission is to empower her students to go after their dreams.

PUBLIC RELATIONS/PRODUCTION EDITOR
KRISTIN IVEY
Kristin Ivey is a fiction writer, a poet, and a freelance editor. She is currently serving as the production editor for Kaylie Jones Books, while she earns her MFA through the Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing. Her work has been published in Hippocampus Magazine, Spark Anthology IV, the Pennsylvania Bards Review, and through Poetry in Transit. She has spent 22 years teaching writing to middle and high school students in Pennsylvania. When she isn’t working, you can find her playing in the woods with her two boxer dogs and their dog-agility training pals.

APRIL BOGLE
April Bogle is a mother, writer, and corporate communications consultant based in Atlanta, Georgia. She is serving as Public Relations Director for Kaylie Jones books as she completes her MFA through Wilkes University’s Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing. She has published several works of non-fiction, including a commemorative book and book chapter on law and religion studies, and feature articles ranging from home décor to meeting actor Richard Gere. When she’s not sitting at her computer, April is doing yoga, walking her rescue dog, or longing for the beach.

KAITLIN MARTIN
Kaitlin Martin is a Chicago-based illustrator and animator. Her work deals with the act of haunting, nature, and the imagery and tropes of gothic fiction. Past works have been featured in Onion City Film Festival, Chicago Underground Film Festival, Sideshow Gallery, and Grimoire Magazine. Her work can be found here.
